This year, kindercamp will be offered to children entering kindergarten
this coming fall. Kindercamp hours are from 8:00am - 6:00 pm,
Monday through Friday. The cost for this camp is $200 per week.Early
drop-off is available beginning at 7:30 am (Extra fee is charged
for this service).
Kindercamp will consist of:
- Swimming
- Arts and Crafts
- Introduction to sports
- Outside games
- Use of a jungle gym
- Indoor gym games
- Storytime crafts
- Camp shows

is a half day camp for children ages 3 and 4 years old. This camp
will be located next door to the Y, at the Richard F. Blake Children's
Center (65 Horsehill Road). The children will be able to swim,
play outside on the jungle gyms, create arts and crafts, listen
to storytime tellers, dance to music and more! The hours of the
camp are from 9:00am - 12:00 Noon.
2 or 5 day options are offered.The cost of the camp shows as follows:
- 2 days $72 per week
- 3 days $102 per week
- 4 days $130 per week
- 5 days $150 per week

Specialty Camps will be divided into two groups:
Grades K-1 & Grades 2-6th. The camps will run from 9:00am - 12:00Noon.
Extended day will be available from 12Noon - 6:00pm for an additional
fee. Please see schedule for weeks when camps are offered.
Arts and Crafts:(on-site) Campers will create groovy arts
and crafts projects using a wide variety of materials tailored
to their abilities.
Science:(on-site) Campers will learn to utilize everyday
materials while participating in interesting experiments.Making
slime,crystals,and play-doh are just a few of the fun ideas to
be carried out.
Sports:(on-site) An introduction to sport skills and sportsmanship!Participate
in easy organizational games while learning to play as a “team ” in
a non--competitive environment.

Arts and Crafts I & II: 9 (on-site) Awaken your senses
and stimulate your creativity! Campers will create arts and crafts
projects using a wide variety of materials tailored to their abilities.
Baseball/Softball:(Mennen Field)Campers will be outside
(weather and heat permitting) practicing the basics; infield/outfield
fielding, hitting, catching fly balls, and running the bases. Instructional
games will be played each day.
Basketball-Girls and Boys:(on-site) Each camper will learn
the fundamentals; ball handling, lay-ups, foul shots and defensive
positioning. All skills will be taught with drills, scrimmages,
and actual games.
Cheerleading I & II:(on-site)Beginner to novice campers
will learn awesome routines, combinations and choreography as well
as common cheers.
Chess I & II:(on-site) Campers will learn the basics and
strategy of chess while playing against other campers for the week
to determine the 'Chess Master'.
Fishing I & II:(Sunrise Lake and Loantaka Pond) Campers
are given hands-on instruction on how to bait, cast and unhook
fish. These basic skills are taught in a safe environment.
Golf I & II:(USGA,local driving ranges)Campers get a chance
to hit golf balls while receiving one-on-one instruction.They are
also taught the basic rules and etiquette of golf as well as hitting
out of sand traps and putting on real greens.
Photography/Nature
Walks:(Loantaka Park, Jockey Hollow, Great Swamp, local camera
shop) Campers will work with digital cameras, shooting, processing,
and printing pictures, as well as visiting a shop to see how
film is developed.Hiking is incorporated in order to experience
the beauty of our many parks and wildlife refugees.They will
create a photo album for their own pictures from the week.
Science/Rocket Robotics:(on-site) This motivational and
confidence building camp, allows children to design, build, program
and take home their own Rocket Robot. They will also get to build
other things. Sumo Robotics: Challenge each other in a Sumo Wrestling
ring; build and take home your own Sumo Robot.Weasel Robotics:The
weasel is sleek,so smart and simply amazing.It has two motors,a
three speed gearbox and two photo sensors that allow it to feel
its way along walls and around corners.
Scrapbooking:(on-site) Be creative! Combine photographs,memorabilia
and journaling (telling stories about the photos)for your preservation
of memories.You bring the memories, we'll bring the supplies.
Soccer:(Lafayette School soccer fields) The first three
sessions begin with a focus on the mastery of fundamental ball
skills.The last two sessions start with more advanced skills. Each
day ends with a game where players are taught to use these skills
in a group.
Sports Camp:(on-site, & Mennen Field) Campers will be engaged
in a different sport each day, i.e. hockey, basketball, lacrosse,
soccer, baseball, volleyball, and track.
Tennis I & II:(Collinsville tennis courts) Campers will
learn the basic fundamentals of tennis while playing against fellow
campers of same ability. Serving, volleying, net play and scoring
will be emphasized.
