2008 Schedule
A non fasting finger stick gives an immediate blood sugar.
Participants are counseled on their results and risks for
developing TYPE II diabetes. No registration is required.
No fasting is required.
Tuesday Oct. 14 9:30 - 11:30
Participants learn if they have any airway obstruction or restriction.
Those who smoke, are impacted by second hand smoke or workplace pollutants, or who have chronic allergies or asthma should be tested. Individual counseling and educational handouts provided.

Wednesday Nov 5, 10 - 12 noon.
Learn your blood pressure numbers and risks for heart attack or stroke. Individual counseling and houndouts provided.

Tuesday December 9 9:30 - 11:30
Overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults and children. Know what to do. It's that important.

A non-invasive ultrasound of the forearm give women over 35 a t-score and z-score, and men over 35 a z-score indicating risk for osteoporosis. Individual counseling and education on calcium supplements and risk reduction also provided.
