According
to the National Center for Health Studies, 30% of the US population
is overweight. The American Diabetes Association estimates that
75% of type 2 diabetics are overweight and American Heart Association
studies have shown thaat people who have an excessive accumulation
of body fat are more likely to develop heart disease and stroke
even if they have no other risk factors. The good news is that clinical
research has shown that many individuals who sugger from hypertension
or diabetes have experienced an improvement in their health just
by reducing their weight. Monitoring your body fat can help in this
healthy process.
