2010 Schedule
Respiratory Screening:
Participants learn if they have any airway obstruction or restriction.
Those who smoke, are impacted by second hand smoke or workplace pollutants, or who have chronic allergies or asthma should be tested. Individual counseling and educational handouts provided.

Blood Pressure and Diabetes Screening:
A non-fasting finger stick gives immediate blood sugar. Participants are counseled on their results and risk for developing TYPE II diabetes. No fasting required.

Bone Density Screening:
A non-invasive ultrasound of the forearm give women over 35 a t-score and z-score, and men over 35 a z-score indicating risk for osteoporosis. Individual counseling and education on calcium supplements and risk reduction also provided.

Cholesterol Screening
A non-fasting finger stick gives immediate total cholesterol. Participants are counseled on their results and risk for developing TYPE II diabetes. No fasting required.
Body Fat/BMI:
Participants can learn their BMI and percentage of body fat, which are indicators for risk for heart disease and other health problems.
Blood Pressure Screening:
Learn your blood pressure numbers and risks for heart attack or stroke. Individual counseling and handouts provided.

DermaView:
Participants look into the dermascan to identify areas on their face with permanent sun damage. Risk factors for skin cancers and prevention techniques discussed. Handouts are provided.
