Y-Travelers Teen Camp
Grades 5 & 6


Our Y-Travelers Teen Camp provides older youth the opportunity to develop life and leadership skills through traditional camp program activities. Y-Travelers Teen Camp challenges campers to develop the initative and strength to make good choices based on theYMCA’s character development values. All activities will foster individual confidence and self-esteem as they work together and support each other. The following schedule is only for Backyard Kids participants. (Specialty campers are not able to participate). The Y-Travelers travel twice a week. Campers may bring their bagged lunch or purchase lunch at the camp site for an extra fee.

 

 

Monday, Wednesday, Fridays: the campers will remain at the Morris Center YMCA


The campers will have access to the following when at the Y:
8-9 am: Drop-off/Free play
9-4 pm: 45 minute increments of the following:
Arts & crafts, indoor gym, outside games, Mennen field, theme weeks,
special guests & activities, one hour of swim, camp games.
4-6 pm: Free play/Pick-up time

Thursdays-Lewis Morris Park/Sunrise Lake,

Morristown, NJ
9:00 am-11:00 am Children will remain at the YMCA and enjoy:
Arts & crafts Outside time Mennen field
Indoor gym Teen Fitness Center (DDR)


11:00 am-3:00 pm Children will have access to:
Swimming in Sunrise lake Play sand volleyball
Use of paddle-boats and rowboats Relax on the beach


 

 

Camp Fees:
$285.00 per week if registered before
May 13, 2008

$305.00 per week after May 12, 2008
