The Y believes that all athletes should play---

when everyone plays, everyone wins!

No one learns by sitting on the bench!

Flag Football

Children will learn the fundamentals of football, throwing. catching, running plays and more! From September 21-November 13, boys and girls will practice on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons and scrimmage on Saturday afternoons. Practices and scrimmages will take place on Mennen Field unless raining, which would be the Y gym.

Grades K-1 4-5 pm Tuesdays

Grades 2-3 4-5 pm Thursdays

Scrimmage on Saturday afternoons

Fee: $120 (includes 3-month membership)

Fee: $60 current members

Little Tennis

Come join our very popular tennis clinic! This 6-week session taught by a USPTA certified tennis instructor, will cover grip, proper footwork, serve and volley and lots of fun! To ensure the class is fun for your child, the instructor will provide parents with feedback as to whether a child has enough eye hand coordination to achieve some level of success in making contact with the ball.

Clinic runs Saturday, October 2-November 6

Includes a tennis t-shirt! Maximum 8 children

Kindergarten-Grade 3 from 2:30-3:30 pm

Lacrosse for Kids

Interested in something new for your sports guy/gal? This 5-week clinic will show the players the easy fundamentals of lacrosse. Soft balls are used in our gym along with shooting nets. Bring your own stick or use one of ours! A Mouth guard is the only required equipment.

 
October 16 thru Nov. 13.
From 10:00 - 11:00 Side B of the gym.

Youth Basketball Association (YBA)

Our 'Y' is the place to be for youth basketball!

We' believe that no one learns by sitting on the bench. Everyone plays.

The first few weeks are practice. January the games begin. Score is not kept, but confidence is..long after the season is over!

K-1 group shoots into 7 foot hoops to encourage fun, success and good form! 2nd grade shoots into 9 foot hoops.

Our Co-Ed league runs on Saturdays 12/4 - 2/26 for grades K-6.

Times: K-1 9:00/10:00 am, 2nd 11:00, 3rd 12:00, 4/5/6 1:00

Non- members are able to purchase a 3 month membership for their child for $60.00.

Girls Only Basketball League

A new league for 3rd - 4th grade girls. Learn to love the game through a positive experience.

The first few weeks are practice and then the games begin. Sign up with your friends. Buddy requests can usually be honored.

Volunteer coaches are needed!

Functional Training

Learn to attain the physical capabilities that great athletes possess. This class is geared towards improving speed, agility, coordination, balance and strength training without the use of weights in preparation for sport specific activities.

September 20-December 22

Ages 12 and up

Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm

Sports Ed (4-10 years)
A fun yet challenging class to learn not only the basics in sports skills, but the importance of sportsmanship. From SPUD to soccer, HORSE to basketball, bean bags to hula hoops (you'll have to join to find out!). Cooperation and coordination are the ultimate goals!

Teens and Tweens
These programs are just for these age groups. Except where noted, these classes are FREE WITH MEMBERSHIP. However, members must PRE-REGISTER for all classes. Included with Membership.

Tween Express (ages 9-12)
A training format that is geared for boys and girls in the Tween years. This class incorporates sports conditioning, as well as fun fitness activities, to keep them moving. They will also learn proper form and gym etiquette. Must register for this class.

Fitness Center $50

Teen Strength (ages 13-16)
This successful program combines sports-specific conditioning with weight training. Our trainers are well versed in a variety of sports and tailor the class to meet the needs of the athlete and the non-athlete. Must register for this class.
Fitness Center

01245-01 Monday and Wednesday 3:45 - 4:30 pm

Fitness Center members, please note: A child between the ages of 13 - 16 must be accompanied by and remain in close proximity to the parent while they both exercise in the Fitness Center. Teens that attend our "Teen Strength Training" program and attain the proper skills will receive a card which authorizes them to workout on their own during specified times. (Fridays 5 - 7 pm, Saturdays and Sundays all day).
